Your Resident Director will provide the University of La Habana (UH) with the names of our accepted students, your arrival dates/departure dates, your passport numbers and your addresses in Cuba. UH will assign a radio number to each of you and inform the Cuban Interests Section. You will receive more detailed instructions from Spanish Studies Abroad closer to departure.

Student must complete the Cuba Visa Application Form and mail it along with all visa materials to Spanish Studies Abroad. The $70 (subject to change) visa fee plus $30 (subject to change) administrative fee will be added to your online account. You can log in and click on “View/Pay Bill” to pay the fee. 

Once the Resident Director has informed us that your radio numbers have been issued, we will send your applications as a group to the Cuban Interests Section.

We will be notified once they have been processed, and we will send a courier to pick up the visas and mail them to Spanish Studies Abroad. We will then mail them to each student individually.

IMPORTANT: When you arrive in Cuba, the immigration officer will stamp your visa with the date of your entry into Cuba. Keep the visa stub with your passport since you will have to present it when leaving the country.

Make sure you do not lose your student visa. You will need it the first few days you are in Cuba to confirm your immigration status in the country, and apply for a university identification card.

The cost of the Cuba Student Visa is approximately $70 (although this is subject to change), and Spanish Studies charges a $30 administration fee to manage this process for you.
