Integrated Studies Program in Córdoba, Argentina
Providing unique learning experiences for North-American university students since 1969
Program Information
The Integrated program through Spanish Studies Abroad combines the best of both worlds – specially designed coursework taught in Spanish and integrated courses with Argentine students at the local university. Immerse yourself in university life at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC) while receiving academic support and cultural guidance to achieve the maximum language acquisition and cultural integration. Make friends with locals and international students alike, practice Spanish with your host family over empanadas or mate, and experience the best of Argentina and your host city through cultural visits and excursions. Levels of cultural integration
The Integrated program is based upon Spanish Studies’ unique Guided Direct Enrollment Model in which students benefit from three levels of cultural integration:
- Programa de Español y Cultura Latinoamericana (PECLA): Students enroll in one mandatory 5-credit class in the Intensive Period and then have the option of taking 1-3 classes designed for international students through UNC’s PECLA program.
- Direct enrollment at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Students enroll in 1-2 integrated courses with Argentine students at UNC. Each integrated course is worth 6 credits.
- The Resident Director guides students to consciously synthesize their cultural experience through a Spanish Studies-designed Cultural Realities course and one-on-one interaction.

This is a great moment to live an experience that you will keep in your heart, throughout your personal and academic life. I expect that students will open their minds and hearts to other forms of knowledge. While excellent academics is the main reason to study at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, the richest aspect of your experience will be getting to know another culture – which I’m sure you will fall in love with!
