Integrated Studies Programs in Barcelona, Spain

Providing unique learning experiences for North American university students since 1969

Program Information

Spanish Studies Abroad students in Barcelona study onsite at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). The university has extensive experience working with international students and offers quality education in many different disciplines. Although it is a fairly new university (founded in 1990), in 2010 it was named an International Campus of Excellence by the Spanish Ministry of Education and has become one of the best universities in Spain. UPF offers several different “tracks” which cater directly to what our students are looking for in their study abroad experience.

Along with the resources provided by UPF, our students benefit from having an on-site Resident Director who assists students with cultural and logistical challenges of studying abroad and organizes Spanish Studies Abroad site visits and events.

Through university coursework, homestays with Catalonian families, and multiple cross-cultural opportunities, students will find Spanish Studies Abroad in Barcelona to be a highly immersive and integrated study abroad experience.

Table by Visualizer

These costs are merely orientative*

This plan estimates personal and miscellaneous expenses at approximately $175 per week.

If you need to travel to a consulate for the purpose of obtaining a visa before your program abroad (semester students only), remember to budget for that travel expense.

Some students will spend more and others will spend less, of course. Consider your lifestyle and budget accordingly.

The “Short Term” estimate is for one 3.5 week program; if you are participating in two, multiply by two.
